Oriental medicine: establishing a mutual connection between Man and Nature

vostochnaja-medicinaYou can agree with the adherents of oriental medicine or zealously criticize their belief in the omnipotence of oriental healers, but one thing must be admitted: interest in this medicine continues to grow.

Eastern medicine, from time immemorial, has considered the human body in inseparable connection with the place of his birth and residence, the landscape of the area, water, traditional food, soil, climate. These data were of great importance in the correct diagnosis and preparation of a program for restoring the patient’s health. The doctor, first of all, takes into account the time of year during the disease, the weather, the condition of the patient’s home, nutrition, emotional state, habits, the patient’s perception of himself and the world around him.

Oriental healers focus their attention on the functioning of organs in the system called the “organism”, and are not limited only to anatomy. In addition to the obvious components of the organism, they also recognize the presence of energy (“life force”) with a material basis in it. This allows the diagnosis to be as accurate as possible.

At first glance, it may seem strange when a doctor carefully examines a patient with reddened, painful, puffy eyes and talks about an unhealthy liver. In modern medical practice, eye drops would be prescribed. Or: Chinese doctors have determined a direct relationship between the place of birth and residence and potential disorders in the body.

The most important thing is that they are guided by an ancient rule and treat the patient, not the disease.
